Sodium Iodide is for use as an aid in the treatment of actinomycosis (lumpy jaw), actinobacillosis (wooden tongue) and necrotic stomatitis in cattle. Not for use in lactating dairy cows.
Directions: 15 mL/100 lbs body weight (30 mg/lb of body weight). Administer slowly, using aseptic procedures. Inject carefully to avoid deposition outside of the vein. May be repeated at weekly intervals, if necessary.
Caution: Animals vary in their susceptibility to iodides. Administer with caution until the animal’s tolerance is determined. Discontinue treatment if adverse reactions occur. This is a single dose vial. No preservatives have been added. Discard any unused portion. Federal law restricts use of this drug by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
Storage: Store between 15°C and 30°C (59°F-86°F).
