Pennchlor 50 Soluble Powder contains the broad spectrum antibiotic chlortetracycline. Pennchlor 50 is used in the drinking water of calves, swine, chickens, and turkeys. Calves and swine are generally treated for 3 to 5 days; chickens and turkeys for 7 to 14 days. Pennchlor 64 Soluble Powder is a generic equivalent to Aureomycin Soluble Powder Concentrate. Chlortetracycline HCl. A type A medicated article that contains 50 grams chlortetracycline as the calcium complex and calculated as hydrochloride per pound. Chlortetracyline is a broad spectrum antibiotic cleared for use in livestock and poultry feeds.
Used in livestock and poultry to treat disease, and as an aid to increase weight, and improve feed/gain ratio. Effective agaisnt strains of both gram-positive and gram-negative organisms.
