Nuflor [100 mL]

Nuflor Injectable Solution (florfenicol) is a synthetic broad-spectrum antibiotic for IM and SQ use in cattle only. Indicated for treatment of bovine respiratory disease (BRD) associated with Mannheimia (Pasteurella) haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida and Haemophilus somnus and for the treatment of bovine interdigital phlegmon (foot rot, acute interdigital necrobacillosis, infectious pododermatitis) associated with Fusobacterium necrophorum and Bacteroides melaninogenicus. Also, it is indicated for the control of respiratory disease in cattle at high risk of developing BRD associated with Mannheimia (Pasteurella) haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida and Haemophilus somnus.

Nuflor (Florfenicol) Injectable Solution for Cattle is an antibiotic indicated for the treatment of bovine respiratory disease (BRD) and foot rot and for the control of respiratory disease in cattle at high risk for developing BRD. Each ml of Nuflor Injectable Solution contains 300 mg florfenicol.

For use in beef and non-lactating dairy cattle only. Not for use in female dairy cattle 20 months of age or older, or in calves to be processed for veal. Florfenicol. Unique, fast-acting, long-lasting antibiotic to control respiratory disease in cattle at high risk of developing bovine respiratory disease. Nuflor kills two major bacteria that cause BRD: Mannheimia haemolytica and Histophilus somni. Begins killing within 30 minutes and eliminates 99.9% of those bacteria within 24 hours. Continues to kill for 68 hours and remains inhibitory through 96 hours.

BRD Treatment: Nuflor Injectable Solution is indicated for treatment of bovine respiratory disease (BRD), associated with Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida and Histophilus somni (Haemophilus somnus).

BRD Control: Nuflor Injectable Solution is also indicated for the control of respiratory disease in cattle at high risk of developing BRD associated with Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida and Histophilus somni (Haemophilus somnus).

Foot Rot Treatment: Nuflor Injectable Solution is indicated for the treatment of bovine interdigital phlegmon (foot rot, acute interdigital necrobacillosis, infectious pododermatitis) associated with Fusobacterium necrophorum and Bacteroides melaninogenicus.

Directions: For treatment of BRD or foot rot, the recommended dosage is 3 ml per 100 lbs body weight, given by IM injection. A second dose should be given 48 hours later. Alternatively, Nuflor can be administered once by SQ injection of 6 ml per 100 lbs. For control of respiratory disease in cattle at high risk for BRD, administer 6 ml per 100 lbs, given SQ in the neck. Do not administer more than 10 ml per injection site.

Warnings: Animals intended for human consumption must not be slaughtered within 28 days of the last intramuscular treatment. Animals intended for human consumption must not be slaughtered within 38 days of subcutaneous treatment. This product is not approved for use in female dairy cattle 20 months of age or older, including dry dairy cows. Use in these cattle may cause drug residues in milk and/or in calves born to these cows. A withdrawal period has not been established in pre-ruminating calves. Do not use in calves to be processed for veal.
