Cefenel RTU 50MG [100 mL]
Cefenil RTU is approved to treat acute postpartum metritis, bovine respiratory disease (BRD) and foot rot in cattle, including lactating dairy cattle. It is also approved to treat and control swine respiratory disease (SRD) in swine.
Cattle: CEFENIL RTU is indicated for treatment of the following bacterial diseases: Bovine respiratory disease (BRD, shipping fever, pneumonia) associated with Mannheimia haemolytica, Pasteurella multocida and Histophilus somni. Acute bovine interdigital necrobacillosis (foot rot, pododermatitis) associated with Fusobacterium necrophorum and Bacteroides melaninogenicus. Acute metritis (0 to 14 days post-partum) is associated with bacterial organisms susceptible to ceftiofur.
Directions: Shake product for 90 seconds to ensure complete resuspension before using. Do not administer more than 15 ml per injection site. Administer subcutaneously or intramuscularly.
Withholds: 3-day slaughter withhold, no milk withholds, do not use in veal calves.
Calf Directions:
Footrot and bovine respiratory disease (BRD) treatment/control: 1 to 2 ml per 100 lbs every 24 hours for 3 days. Additional treatment may be given on days 4 and 5 if necessary.
Systemic metritis: 2 ml per 100 lbs every 24 hours for 5 days.
Bovine respiratory disease (BRD) treatment: 2 ml per 100 lbs on days 1 and 3 (48 hrs apart).
Swine: CEFENIL RTU is indicated for treatment/control of swine respiratory disease (swine bacterial pneumonia) associated with Actinobacillus (Haemophilus) pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida, Salmonella choleraesuis and Streptococcus suis.
Withholds: 4-day slaughter withhold.
Directions: Swine respiratory disease treatment/control: 1 ml per 22 to 37 lbs every 24 hours for 3 days. Do not administer more than 5 ml per injection site. Administer intramuscularly.
