BoviCare is a natural product that contains Cryptosporidium parvumegg derived proteins that are designed to meet enteric health needs and promote increased feed efficiency and weight gains. Enteric health is critical to the well-being of the neonatal calf. Poor enteric health means that nutrient intake is restricted and this can have a major influence on weight gain and feed efficiency. During this time, it is critical to treat the calf with Bovicare because proper nutrition is not always enough. Cryptosporidium parvum (C.parvum) is an extraordinarily prolific and resilient organism that can be found most anywhere, cattle and their calves congregate. BoviCare-cp breaks the cycle of poor performance, when C.parvum is present. C.parvum accounts for as much as 25% of calf scours.

BoviCare-cp is formulated with digested proteins from egg-derived C.parvum organisms from every stage of its life cycle and helps support digestive system health by preparing the gut for the organism. Studies show calves fed BoviCare-cp days one through seven are hardier and show fewer negative effects in the face of a crypto challenge. The cryptosporidium oocyst is highly communicable throughout the herd in infected feedstuff and forage. Crypto is resistant to heat, freezing temperatures, and even bleach-based disinfectants. Even the most rigorous biosecurity measures are generally effective in only reducing, not eliminating the disease-producing oocysts. The cycle of infection and the accompanying poor results repeat.

Directions: 2 ml orally twice daily (am and pm) beginning day 1 and continuing for 7 days for a total of 28 ml. If started on days 2-3, feed twice a day for 7 consecutive days. May also be administered to older, healthy calves. If a dose is missed, continue dosage until full treatment is finished (14 administrations). After this initial period, BoviCare-cp does not require re-administration. 200 ml bottle treats 7 calves for 7 days.
